Hi All!

Since I've been looking at buying a Graded MS69 2019 W Cent and noticed they were way too expensive. Over $100 for MS69 a few weeks ago and now about $40. I looked at the Populations Reports for NGC and PCGS and noticed that NGC has about twice as many MS69's than MS68's and PCGS is the opposite. NGC has over 300 MS70's and PCGS has none.
There isn't usually this big of a discrepancy between the two companies. Makes me wonder if NGC is being too easy on grading or if PCGS is too conservative. What's your thoughts on this?

PCGS may be being a bit tight on them, but that's how they are with everything now. NGC very likely is being too easy as well so a little bit of both. One thing is for certain, NGC is being looser on these than PCGS

I have always subtracted one point from NGC slabs,so a NGC68 to me is a 67 etc. I was bidding on a MS 69 three or four times and lost. I want to keep it under $40 all in. You can get a 68 for under $30.

Would it surprise anyone if one or more of the telemarketers committed a large number to NGC and needs to fulfill a large number of pre-orders in MS-70? Just a theory.

Something fishy there when theres over 300 MS70 graded coins when normally there's a handful tops. It's not a silver eagle afterall.

I expect to see something like that from ANACS, kind of surprised this is NGC.

I don't think anyone expected to see any 70s on these considering that most business strike coins even 69s are unheard of and 68s can be 4-5 figure coins. So I would be shocked if there were any 70 preorders, but I am also surprised that NGC seems to be throwing around the 70 grade rather loosely.

I agree that something is off with the grading. For months all I've seem to have heard was how terrible they are and how the Mint has been handling the situation. So, 300 perfect grade? Highly suspicious.
