We also still don't know the country, though it's a short list of options.

Based on being mostly east of the 15th meridian, and its capital not north of the Alps, I think the candidate countries are Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia. Some might add Cyprus to the list (some might even add Turkey). Does that sound right?

I'm not sure the best way to narrow the country. As the only one on that list wholly outside the Iron curtain, I think Greece was making the most attractive coins at that time (I mean, one can only stand so many wheat ears, tractors, hammers and sickles . But hey, we're collectors, and sometmes in the interest of completeness, we also add homely coins to our collections.

I will use my first guess (or if we are playing by the original rules, my only guess): is your coin the 1970 2 Dinara FAO issue.
