The majority of Russia is in Asia, but the capital is in Europe, most would consider Russians European but the country is Asian. Which brings up the fact that it would have been the USSR during this date range and may also fit. |

The omnipotent gamemaster (do not look behind the curtain!) says that Turkey is geographically in Asia (95% of its land mass lies there). There is however, some recent notion (of a political rather than geographic origin) that it is "European."
Yes, this coin is from Vatican City, a country which is a theocratic absolute monarchy. There are no other absolute monarchies of any kind in Europe. Saudi Arabia is the world's other theocratic absolute monarchy, though there are a few other absolute monarchies out there.
And yes, this coin is primarily silver.
