This coin was made well before AD 1100. 5. This coin was made west of the Ural Mountains. I believe that this eliminates Asia and Oceania. 6. This coin was made before AD 1. Hint 2: http://www.numista.com is not just a good place to find examples of modern coins. 7. I was all set to say that this coin was not Celtic, but upon further research, there are some who disagree so I guess it is best to say that it is at least tangentially Celtic. The former says that the Gauls were to the north of the Celts, but that the Romans referred to both as Gauls (in linguistic terms the Gauls were certainly Celts). |

The Phoenician's may have become Celts, I just read an article that was saying they may have merged with a pre-celt ethic group to form them. That may add enough muddiness to call them Celts . I think Spence was trying to imply it could in no way be considered from Etruria but I'm pretty lost
