My guess is a 1996 Guaranies.

But I am even more curious about this denomination while every nation around them was using pesos, cruzeiros and bolivars

If numista is correct, then it Looks like its gotta be the '96 100 Guaranies from Paraguay.

Added: looks like I spent too much time chasing this down on numista and @tdz may have just edged me out.

Look s like it's a national pride thing, named after the indigenous peoples. Replaced the peso as a monetary unit in 1943 or so. Immediately devalued, been on the downside ever since.

I see I left out an important bit of info in my earlier guess.

I guess 1996 100 Guaranies ... and throw myself at the mercy of the 20 questions inquisitors

Ok well, looks like you are ruling that @tdz didn't provide sufficient info in his guess.

I have a coin.
