I am now down to 3 types...

Is the mintmark either A or D?

Do we assume that if the coin is not made from aluminium, then aluminium bronze is also out..

If the question had have been "does this coin contain aluminium" yes.

Aluminium and aluminium bronze are entirely different compositions...
