This has me scratching my head, I thought we had him cornered. We still know it is on that Numista page, we're just looking at the wrong coin somehow. We'll use the last Q to finish the game, but we should figure out a good one for the last Q. We have been given a lot of hints here.

Did we get snookered into thinking the coin had to be on the Numista page that pops up with the link keith posted.... Go back one page, page 2, and look at what's there....China › Chinese provinces › Kiangsu Province › Chingkiang, City of. Could this be what we missed.

YES. mrwhatisit is correct! It's a 10 cash variant minted by the Chingkiang city, in the Kiangsu Province in 1905. All the other Kiangsu (Kiang-Soo) inscribed provincial coins were instead minted by the Suzhou city, Kiangsu. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces27782.htmlmrwhatisit, you have the floor.   |
