After what have must been a fascinating ocean journey, my Macca's arrived today via Sea Mail! Thanks Ty for the book and those $1 coins. One is the "rabbit ears" variety too.

Wow Kurt, if only that book could talk. I bet it has been to some pretty cool places on its journey. Pity it couldn't pick up a few coins from each place on its way.

Right, even if it was delayed a little...it was fun to consider where it might be. I'm sure it was an interesting journey, perhaps like this:

Too bad they didn't stamp it at each port, eh? Thanks again Ty!

G'day,
quote: "3 months not bad for ship ..."
- I would have expected better in the third millenium.

My great-g-g-grandmother was selected by one of the finest judges in England to become a colonist in Australia.
She travelled by sailing ship, from London to Hobart. The voyage was 99 days, and that was in 1820.
