I've recently been to Corfu, and did some snorkeling and found this. I would be really interested to know what it is as I've not managed to find it yet.

Many thanks :)

@d92, first welcome to CCF. Second, I have taken the liberty of cropping, enhancing, and rotating your pics to make them easier to examine. I can't quite make out the inscription on your first pic, but I think I at least see a letter T. Can you make out any of the other letters with the coin in hand?

I suspect that this is not an ancient coin for a couple reasons. First it appears to be plated (perhaps silver over bronze). If ancient, it would be a fourree. Also, it seems to have a distinct rim, which isn't typical of ancient coins.

I will recommend to the mods that your thread be moved to the "unknown" section of CCF.

Added: now that I look more closely, that portrait looks a lot like Aristotle on the 5 Drachmai. Here is a link to the coin:

Glad to help, but not sure why the numista link isn't working for you. I believe that you have found a copper-nickel 5 Drachmai minted in Greece between 1976 and 1980. With that information you should be able to find examples on ebay or elsewhere on the interwebs to compare your coin. This coin has the legend ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ so PATH is a pretty close match.
