I think it has too much detail to be acid. Look at the other 4.6 acid quarter. Not even close. Just my opinion

Definitely acid of some sort. Different strengths and types of acid will affect the coin differently. The dead giveaway that this coin has been affected by acid is how the copper core on the edge of the coin has been eaten away more than the copper-nickel clad layers. Pure copper is much more reactive to acid than the copper-nickel, so it is dissolved quicker than the outer clad layers.

Acid for sure. There are many types of acid with varying characteristics, and the length of time the coin is exposed is another factor.

I had a feeling it was acid but couldn't figure how copper and clad layer eroded at different rates. Good call. Thanks
