My first straight clip find. Date clipped on obverse and reverse shows two letters, U and S, under the clip. Please let me know what you think or if I missed something.

Nice clip . A shame it saw so much circulation. It's a Philadelphia mint product. The mintmark would be to the right of Monticello on the reverse. You are seeing a star between Liberty and the date

Doesn't look like a clip, rim is present.

I agree, about a 1% clip. You can tell on the rev the rim was never there. Not enough to have a blaksley effect.

It looks like a tiny d next to jeffersons ponytail. Can you see the letters under the clip on the reverse? Wish it were in better condition for my only clip coin.

Not a real clip, sorry. Just PSD. Not an error coin.

E&V , gonna have to plead this ones case bud. The third pic showes the die flow lines going all the way into the recessed area to the edge. This would have disappeared had the recess been caused by damage. Also the rim has what I call reverse fading at the edge of the anomaly. This is where the rim fades away from clip as it goes from the outer edge toward the center of the coin . This is my favorite indicator of an incomplete planchet
