Wonder what Rick offered for it?

Quote: Zurie: I think the OP was the one who brought it to Pawnstars. Here's the thread from last year.
Here is an even earlier link on this same coin by a couple of weeks. http://goccf.com/t/346855I shopped the coin (via photograph) to a friend at Heritage, they were only willing to go to $3500 and had two one in stock, one was in upcoming auction that ended up selling for $6200 - this one is a bit nicer looking on the obverse than the auction coin was. I don't see that coin bringing the full asking price on ebay - but who knows? the market is actually really strong with those that have money, six figure coins are selling rapidly, and higher 5 figure coins are tough to keep in stock I hear from dealer friends that can afford to play at those levels.

Resurrecting this thread as this coin is back again at another auction. This time it's in a Legend Rare Coin Regency Auction #46 Lot #201. This should get you to the page it's on: https://legendauctions.hibid.com/ca...-46/?cpage=5They don't have any way to direct link as the lots are in a pop up window, but the serial number of the slab checks out. I was browsing the auction and saw it said "wow now that looks familiar, I've seen that coin before" and yep sure enough it's the same one. Wonder how it will do this time around? The auction is in 6 days on July 15th.

Beat me to it! I saw this about a week ago as I'm bidding on two other lots in this auction. I kept meaning to update the thread but kept forgetting! Ah well. It's a great coin for sure, I'm interested to see what it does. Edit: Here's the direct link to the auction https://legendauctions.hibid.com/lo...b--PCGS-ms63

First off Similar to this one and a common 1888-O are miles apart in both what they are and the price. This one has a die crack running across the face (cheek) of Miss Liberty, is what causes the value here. These are very rare. Now as to a MS66+ Morgan? They are still a very rare and valuable coin, I assume it's slabbed by either PCGS or NGC to be called MS66+ otherwise I would have to see it to believe it. MS66 and better dollars of this date bring $1500 and up.
