Look at the date and ask yourself if that could possibly have been produced by the US Mint. Have you compared it to genuine date logos on this and other early years?
Besides for all of the obvious glaring reasons that is fake, it also appears to have medal alignment. 1804 dollars would have coin alignment. While there are instances of other coins having 180 degree rotated dies, it would be inconceivable that any of the 1804 dollars would have that.
These counterfeit old coins are everywhere. I'm going to an auction in a few weeks that has the same 1804 counterfeit just a different cast coin version. I have all intention of notifying them its counterfeit before the auction starts to see if they pull it.
