numismatic student Bedrock of the Community United States 11888 Posts	Posted 07/20/2019 1:46 pm the spots are oxidation. they do not affect technical grade but do affect eye appeal, and they are distracting on a white coin like this one. coin looks au/bu but these pics do not allow a clear assessment of the surfaces.
