Have any of you spoken to him recently. His website is seemingly down or lapsed. Has he left the business side of the hobby.

I checked archive.org, and their last successful save of this website was in early 2018:

https://web.archive.org/web/20180226065155/http://www.numismaticamericana.com/

You'll need to copy the entire URL, because clicking on the link will take you to either archive.org or the current (nonworking) version of the numismatic site, depending on where your cursor is.

The website says that Shamhart's email address is Bill@numismaticamericana.com

i dont want to email him bc I dont have any specific questions. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything. He was one of the few good dealers in commemoratives and itd be a shame to lose him.

I just tried searching for him, too. I understand he still works on occasion for CAC. But, his coin site is dead. He might still be a dealer, but it's possible he's gone vest-pocket and not online anymore. It would be interesting to find out more, though. He is a very interesting and smart guy, but I haven't spoken with him for some time.
