I know we for various reasons don't embrace a lot of social media standards here such as "likes" and whatnot, but I thought it might be useful to be able to drop an "@[user]" in a post when you're referring to someone. When the message is parsed, if the user is a valid one, it would convert the "@[user]" into a link that would take you to that user's profile. And from there you could do a lot of things. So all it would take the user to do is put an "@" in front of the user's name.

@CelticKnot would render CelticKnot for example.

In recent leadership classes I've been told that the younger crowd, ok, the 'M' word... "millennials"... want to be part of a bigger thing. Being able to cross-reference and call out specific people between posts helps there. I know as numismatists we want to attract YNs and I think updating our interface to appeal to them in small ways such as this could help.

May be more trouble than it is worth... but thought I'd throw it out there.
