Hello All,
Found this 2013 five dollar bill in circulation a while back, and am just now getting time to get some help from you all.
This bill has what appeared at first to be some sort of stain left from some sort of liguid (juice, water, or whatever it may be).
But... looking a little closer it seems odd to be a stain. The inking/stain does not appear as bad on the reverse. Which one would think it to be so, if it was stain from a spilled liguid. On the obverse of the bill on the right side it has clear spots with no sort of coloring as a regular bill would be. On the left side it has spots of coloring (ink/stain). Also along the edges of the top and lightly on the reverse is what looks to be like roller lines of some sort, maybe.
Any way, What do you all think has happened here? Is this some sort of inking error or just a plain old stain from something spilled over it?
Oh, I should note that the ink/stain in question is a blueish almost purple in color.
Glad to be back around, has been a while since my last post here at CCF.
