Not sure if this is the correct forum for this.

I picked up a group of 21 of 1970 Manitoba Centennial Medals minted by the Wellings Mint. As I was examining them I noticed that there are 3 different mint marks above the MM in Commemorative. The photos show the different marks:

The top piece has the Wellings Screw Press icon mark - on 2 of 21;
The lower left has a fading Wellings mark - on 16 of 21;
The lower right has a full strong Wellings mark - on 3 of 21.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a catalogue for these modern pieces?

Below are photos of an 1970 Manitoba medal that came with this set. I was unfamiliar with the medal and while doing research I never ran across any mention of different mint marks.

But sure enough there is quite some difference as you have well demonstrated. I believe this particular medal has the a full strong Wellings mark.

Hi Gene, I collect exonumia from 1970. When I get back from the NWT, I'll check what I have...
