*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

Hi all, I am wondering if this cent has a repunched D or is it possibly just boogered up? Thanks. More fuzzy pics for ya!!

The real question I have is are they even worth saving in this condition? Errors are kinda new to me so hope y'all don't mind a couple questions here and there..

Can't tell if it is a RPM,pic is out of focus and the glare is right where we need to see. Try a vary-very soft toothbrush on the mint mark under running water. It might be worth keeping just because it is a small date and in nice condition, unless that is zinc rot around the mint mark.

We love questions. The fuzzy pics not so much.

I can't tell for sure, but I suspect that you are seeing the underlying zinc core around the mintmark.

Probably just zinc rot on the mintmark.

Thanks everyone. Got a new scope delivered this morning. Maybe I can figure it out and get better pics from now on..

The zinc is why I determined it's not a bronze/copper cent. That and the odds of ME finding a Holy Grail on my second day of searching coins. lol
