I have a 1942 d nickel that has errors and the weight is 4.7is that normal to weigh 4.7?

Normal weight is 5 grams, plus or minus .3 Your coin is within range, but on the low end.

'64 D SMS pieces, are referred to as having a 'silky' finish.

No one paid any attention to them, until '93, when Stacks auctioned one.
