RedBook is super important for all numismatists, don't overlook the front section reading, there is more information contained in there than you might think, from early minting information to coinage history. I'd say the
RedBook is the single best investment you can start with as long as you use it for more than just pricing information (which is often out of date, the information remains current for the most part) I only upgrade mine every 5 years or so, the pricing I get elsewhere anyways.
