I have a 2004 Silver Eagle with two diameters: one is about a millimeter larger than the other. Everything else seems to be normal. What is this condition called? I know next to nothing about these matters.

to CCF. Might be what is called a "railroad rim". Try using the search box, upper left of page for more info.

Looks like it. The Search box should be your best friend on this forum - it definitely knows more than any of the rest of us.

Thank you for your responses and your welcomes. Now that I'm home from work, it looks like I have some coin homework to do.

The larger diameter should not have reeding if it were a railroad rim error coin (partial collar strike). The coin could possibly be double-struck - we'd need to see more photos.

Thanks, Scissel. I'll try to get some additional pictures posted, probably one at a time

I have to agree

Get a calipers and tell us the measurements of both "rings"

Are we even sure either of these coins are Genuine ASE's?

The first pic show more than milk spots, more like milk stains.

The last pic from the OP shows weak details to the cross hatching behind the stars on the flag on the right shoulder.

Could be die wear / late die state or maybe a fake.
