I don't have the coin, so these are the best pictures I have. Its still in its cello case, so that may cover up some details. Any thoughts? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

From those images I'd say "no".

Quote: That's irrelevant to whether its full steps or not No it is not. Some years had more "full steps" than others,eg 5 steps or 6 steps... With that pic I say nada to FS. John1

@John1, I understand that, but that doesn't effect the designation, just the value.

With John . some dates are known for FS while others would be rare to have FS . This Nickel does not appear to have Full Steps .

I don't understand what that has to do with the date being relevant to the designation of full steps. I understand that it is more rare on certain dates, but that doesn't affect whether it's full steps or not.

Certain years 5 steps is considered FS and some years 6 steps is considered FS.So, whatever year is to have 6 steps and it only has 5 it is not FS. John1

Ah thanks, I misunderstood. Either way, I don't think this would qualify for FS, as it appears to only have 4. Thanks for all your input!

Doesn't look like full steps to me either but a clearer photo would be helpful.

From the images provided, I can't tell for sure if is a reverse of 38 or 40.
