Undoubtedly a very worn Greek / Arab coin, as each sides represents the characteristics of one era. Even traces of a necklace (the rusty parts) on it. Presumably bought by my grandfather in Iraq during the 60's. But what is it? Does this coin even have a label or is it just a 'regular' Islamic overstruck of a Greek coin? Any expert that's willing to look at both sides to reveal its ID?

Thanks in advance,

Kaj

I'm amazed how you came up with the ID on this one.

Thanks but really not so amazing. The three coins posted earlier were legible and easy to ID. Comparing those coins to examples on Zeno last night reminded me that Lu'lu' also issued figural coins.
