A couple years later, when I was 9, I worked selling Sunday papers on a corner on Saturday nights (parents would probably be hauled off to jail these days for letting their kids do that) and frequently got silver in change - primarily from older customers. Luckily my mom took me to a coin show and my grandmother frequently gave me Ike's and Morgans, so I was off and running. Before I knew better, I tried cleaning a lot of low quality coins. What comes to mind now and again is how menial jobs like the paper route have all but vanished in today technology world. For many of us it was the primary source for finding keepers pulled from circulation. Fewer coin boards to fill. My how things have changed.
