I was at a coin show today, and because I am focusing on my silver Washington quarter collection, I like to go through bags of silver quarters for any higher grade coins. I picked this one out for toning, and when I got home I realized it has the type B reverse! I am interested to know if this was a reverse that was supposed to be used only for proofs or if it was swapped between circulation and proof strike. Also, any grading opinions would be awesome. I paid the insane amount of $3! How did I do? Thanks for taking a look!

That it is. The 1956-1964 Philly quarters may have these. So keep looking for them on those dates.

Thanks to you both! I am happy I found it but unsure of its rarity.

There are not easy to find. How many coins have your been through before you found that one? I found one years ago at a coin shop. But they are not common. They are struck from retired proof dies.

I had been through at least 2 bags of around 500-700 quarters each-just today. I have been through much more than that over the last few months though. I must admit, I was not even looking for the type reverses this time, but then remembered when I got home. I'm happy I picked this one though!
