I'm going through a 5 salon water jug of Pennies, and found this.
I looks like a 1964-D Penny in a Dime planchet but it is all copper clad even on the edge not cut smooth. Robert

Looks like it was sanded down, so it can be used as a Dime in vending machines. PSD. Not an error coin.

If that is the case they went trough a lot trouble to make the edge smooth and the same color of wear.

Could be a Dryer Coin, and not good to used pliers to hold coin.

Yes it must be a penny sanded down because it weighs 2.5 grams unlike a dime at 2.2. Those were forceps and they were not clamped just loosely holding it upright.
