First step, weight it.

Initial reaction is the portrait looks kinda off.

Better photos are needed but looking at the rim I have a doubt this one is authentic. I don't like the blotchy surfaces either as I've seen this on many of the modern Chinese knock offs. This is the scarcer "birds" over junk coin that can run into the thousands of dollars, if genuine.

Goodluck OP, the birds variety is very expensive and worth a lot. That means there are tons of fakes especially Chinese coins. Send it to NGC or ANACSs but maybe look around some more and test it with a magnet, weigh it, etc.
I'll say this, 99% someone thinks they have a rare Chinese coin, turns out to be a fake when submitted. There are just too many fake raw Chinese coins being passed around out there

Weighs .9 oz. I did a couple silver tests and it passed those but it could just be good counterfeiters. I will probably send it to one of the above authenticators. Thanks for you input guys. :)

Please kindly provide a photo of the edge as well as taking better photos - something does not look right. Would also appreciate if you can provide weight down to 0.1 grams if possible.

This is easily 2000+ dollar coin if genuine in this condition - the authenticity does cost a fair bit.
