Tanman: I have 2 of the 2018 D Double Ear Error up for Bid I'm SURE its a 2015 D DDO.. They Look the same, Its a DDO. Edited by Daves Errors

Hm...wouldn't the design around that area have to be repeatedly enlarged for it to be a DDO? Not for sure, either you have the real deal or a contact mark. Edited by SilverCents

It's definitely possible that this is a DDO. But for doubling this small I like to see it in-hand so I can rule out it being a something else (contact mark, die gouge, etc). I'm hesitant to say definitively yes or no. But I do hope it's a new DDO, good luck! |

Very interesting Daves Errors! I would send it in to Tanner Scott for attribution, so you can get your answer. Attributions is still free I believe, just only have to pay return postage.

I'm not doing any submissions for CRDieVarieties right now, trying to focus on finishing nickels-dimes-quarters and starting cents. Once I'm done I hope to officially open the site to submissions which will likely cost a very small fee. Could be a few months until that happens. I think you should send both this one and the 2018-D doubled ear to Dr. Wiles at VarietyVista to see what he thinks. Maybe mention that Wexler was planning to add the 2018-D to his files before he had to take a step away from the hobby. Edited by Tanman2001
