First off, I understand this is definitely not the nicest example you've ever seen, but it was in a big bag of quarters I was looking through, and I got it for $3. Knowing it is a type 1 and Has a mintage of 1.5 million, it could be a hole filler at the least. If even gradable, I'm thinking VF details. Opinions?

My first thought was it's a fake . Silver plated off metal ,rivets look wrong ,parts of reverse looks wrong .
But if it's genuine I would use it as a hole filler . If I'm wrong about it being a fake , go ahead I can take the bashing .

@T-Bop, you've got me worried now! I'm hoping it's genuine. Even, damaged it was hole filler that didn't cost $50 or more. Everything looked correct IMOHO. At least if it's not genuine I only spent $3.

It's real in my opinion. Fine details. Holed and plugged.

Good as a filler till you can score a better one.

Thanks. Even though it's not worth anything I am still crossing my fingers. It just doesn't seem like a coin worth faking though.

Yeah , slipped right past me . Who would put a hole in that location and who would make a dumb looking plug like that. Oh well glad it's genuine .

No grade, it's just a filler with that plugged hole.
