1978 Quarter In Mint Cello Planchet Cut?

CherryPicker1 Pillar of the Community United States 646 Posts	Posted 08/06/2019 9:29 pm I'm not quite sure what to think of this. This quarter has a strange cut at around 7 o'clock on the coin, but it's still in its mint cello, so it must have left the mint that way. Any thoughts on this? Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 08/06/2019 10:33 pm If memory serves correctly, the mint will send coins to other facilities for them to be packaged in sets. I believe the coin may have been damaged at a packaging facility after it left the mint. Report this Post to the Staff
