For your consideration, a 1917 Lincoln from a circulated roll from years ago. For fun I was going through some of my rolls of old circs, and in the 1917 group this one popped up with larger numerals than
the rest and I thought I could see some notching on the end of the upper loop of "9". Is the size due to doubled or wear and damage?

Thanks !

Jim

Hi,

It's just worn flat. Also, if you look at what you think is a notch on the 9, you can look to the right and see a scratch on the right side of the 9 that then continues onto the 1.

Thanks,
Bill
