1943 P Doubled Die Obverse / DDO War Nickel?!

Tldemars333 Valued Member United States 67 Posts	Posted 08/12/2019 10:53 am Hi all! I purchased a set of 11 War Nickels yesterday and this 1943 p was in it. It was graded by sgs at a ms70 but I'm 100% sure that its wrong. I dont think the grade is too far off tho. To me,im almost sure that its the 43 p DDO. I'm here asking you all if you can confirm or deny that? Also, if it is DDO, does anybody know a price on it? Ive seen such a wide range in selling prices. Thank you all so very much! There is a handful of similar ones for that date so it can be difficult to match one without it in hand. Looks like yours might match and have the die dot marker over the right side window on right side of the central part. Pretty good images but it will probably require the coin in hand to attribute. Master die doubling was very prevalent on War Nickels but isn't a variety. And if they are Master die doubling I don't think ANACS will attribute them, just provide a grade. It causes most dies to have the doubling and therefore very common. It got me on the set of 11 I picked up two weekends ago. Fingers crossed for you.
