Hi Gang

Tomorrow is one year since I first posted pics of my 1982 DDR. Since then I have only heard of one other being found. Has anyone else heard of any others?

Thanks
Richard

I have heard of no other s found. I wrote an article for my Ask About Coins page Newsletter that makes note of the anniversary of the find:-)
There is a link to the page at the bottom of my post. The article is on the page under the link for the Roll Searchers' newsletter.

Congrats on the anniversary of your find!
I find a die variety with only one example pretty incredible.
Bill, I like your newsletter.

Bill, I just finished reading you issues. They're great! I plan to watch for all with my young nephew. He too will be thrilled. Thanks.

Look at it this way- "one of a kind" is the pinnacle, but "two of a kind" is still a heck of alot better than "hundreds or thousands of a kind"

I have 2 bags of 1982 pennys that my grandpa was collecting before he passed away. I'll have to take a look threw them. I have been wondering why he had them guess this might be a reason.

Total of two known. Still makes it extremely rare and extremely valuable. At this point I would be willing to value (and be comfortable with the numbers) an MS65RD example at $2,500...an AU at $750.

I almost figured after being reported there would be at least a half dozen found in people getting out their hoards and looking again (nobody bothers looking at the reverse of 1982 cents!...until now). But to date there have only been two examples located in any grade.
