I am curious as to whether or not it is a 1964... you neglected to indicate the date.

Thanks,
Bill

I did that on purpose. Does it matter? If it is a DDR and I told you the date,It would be one hell of an aniversary to last year! hint..lol.. Its actually 1982

Please explain if it is or isn't, I'm not a coin expert. YET!..lol

though not an expert myself I can tell you this. that is not the 1982 DDR that is celebrating its aniversary today.

Looks like a very minor case of Machine Doubling.

So what then?. Is it worth anything special?. I wasnt saying that its the same coin. I'm just saying if it is a DDR thetn its kinda odd when if they were seen one year apart. I'm just not sure if its DDR or other. But its pretty much on the whole reverse in one direction . Ill try to get a better pic.

OK...It's not.... and yes the date makes a difference as we are able to check references to compare one coin to another.

I concur. Simple, worthless Machine Doubling. I could have guessed the date without being told, and wish I had the chance. That reverse was only used one year on the brass cents, then was used until 1988. I could tell from the sheen on the coin that it was a brass so it had to be 1982.
