Quote: I am guessing the "cuddle" is located in the same spot on all of the coins? Yes they are John. Die dent it is. I was under the impression that dents happened before the dies were collared. Apparently they can be dented while they are stamping planchets. Learn something new almost daily on here. I really appreciate your's and everyone else help on this one. Any ideas on the what caused the ridges on the "86" I posted before this one ? That one has me stumped. http://goccf.com/t/353832

Die dents are a form of die damage and can occur at anytime. Think of clashes. Or even die collars dinging the hammer die if they get misaligned.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Quote: Let us know what Mike says about both coins please. John- I didn't ask Mike about this one since die dent seems like a logical analysis. The "86" is "some form of peripheral die damage". He answered on the thread I posted. Another mystery solved.

I agree CU-1c-2015-02 is not a Cud but a Die Dent and it has been de-listed.
