I have an Ottoman Coin, 40 Para
(https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7864.html), with a countermark. I see that Hejaz countermarked these coins for usage afterwards, (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pi...14210.html).

I can't make out the countermark fully. Can someone comment that might now more about these? Thanks.

I don't see any countermark, looks like it's just damaged.

Agree. This looks like a bent coin, no countermark here.

Okay, maybe it is just damage. People do all sorts of things to coins.

The coin has definitely been punched with something. There is a cup on the side with the value (right side in photo), and the pressure was enough to flatten out the monogram (left side in photo).

Hahaha this is not a countermark indeed. Hejaz has countermarked on same coins its name in arabic.

Your coin is possibly used under a heavy table or chair to make it stable.
