I don't know what reference referred me to be looking for 2016-P Jefferson nickel DDR's, for I cannot find an online source for this. My notes say "thick USA, EPU, Five Cents, and Monticello.

I think I found the thick letters on the reverse along with some strike through on the EPU.

Looking for confirmation and a reference source listing this, if it is a DDR.

I have placed the 2016-P reverse along side that of a 2017-P reverse.

I cannot detect any splitting of the letters.

Even the obverse shows thickness in the date and MM and strike through feature in the motto and MM.

Thanks, E&V!

Is there such a DDR for 2016-P as I described and that I've been looking for?

I probably saw it on a YouTube video and took notes.

Grease with grit mixed in. Not a pretty site. I wonder about a different issue and could remember what it was called and the year it appeared on nickels:
2016-P-Jefferson-Nickel-/-DDR---Thick-USA-&-Epu-&-Monticello
It was call die creep.

To read more about this issue, it is on the 2014-P Nickel reverse.
But that is not the issue on your coin.
