I'm not sure what this is called. Die chip? Die dent? Cud?

Looking to learn.

Also, are these collectible?

Thanks

Not a Die Dent. Just a Die Chip that's starting to progress. The top of the shields are a very common place for Die Chips.

Remember, a Cud has to be attached to the rim of the coin. ( I typed that really slow).....all in good fun..

Thank you GreasyFingers. Are coins that exhibit die chips worth keeping? Because I tossed this one in "trash" pile?

Thanks for your feedback
