Just acquired. Seller's pics. I'm wondering about the crater on the brow of the king. Metal flaw or PMD?

I do not see anything on the reverse to suggest the coin was struck obverse, and a hit that deep would have needed to displace some metal. Also, there is what appears to be a crack running to/from this deep pit.

So I am guessing it is a metal/planchet flaw.

tdziemia, thanks for you opinion. I though the same thing, as I have seen other coins with similar-looking flaws. It looks like maybe an impurity got into the metal.
