Sitting around killing time between
ebay auctions I grabbed a random roll from the unchecked pile. Turned out to be a mostly fingerprinted up bunch of 1960 coins. I don't usually look at 1960, but figured what the heck and glanced at them.
There were two of these in there, with this one pretty much the best coin in the roll and the other very heavily stained. So it was worth it in the end to check them out, as I like this
DDR.
It is a strong class 6 doubled die, with a light bit of class 2 doubling as well. The marker for DDR-002 is the odd depression between the W and E of WE.
