@rdlem I have the same New Mexico counterstamp quarter and was wondering if you know what it is worth or what the purpose of the coordinates was?

If anyone else knows anything about it please let me know! It is a 2008 New Mexico State Quarter p mint with coordinates engraved in it. 33.6n 106.6w

After checking out the coordinates on google map it appears to be a nuclear test site on the white sands testing range in New Mexico about 6 miles from the Trinity test site.

Counterstamps on coins are usually pretty cool. Any chance you could post photos?
