Suspected double clip for your opinions grading and otherwise.

Definitely a genuine Double Curved Clipped Planchet. Can't tell for sure, but your coin could grade in MS BU condition.

Wow, that looks amazing! I don't think I've ever seen a clip that's taken that much off of a coin

I'd like to see closer pictures of the edges..I'm leaning towards man-made to look like mint error. How did you come about to have this coin?

Better pictures in response to Greasy Fingers post hopefully these pictures will help in determining authenticity or not. I purchased the quarter off an online consignment auction for less than $10 on a gamble because if it's real it would go nice with the rest of my slabbed quarters.

Looks a little odd I think I might agree with Greasy Fingers

Doesn't look good to me. Either way, a decent buy. Either a very nice double clip or a very nice counterfeit double clip. Worth keeping one way or the other.

I think it is not a mint error. But I'll defer to experts.

It does look man made, the second picture shows a bent in the cut and the last pic from the same area shows a clear uneven, distorted cut.It is not even worth a quarter now! sorry we have all had our fair share of being misled, but at least your loss was fairly nominal.

Looks like it's been cut off, noticing the edges look very sharp IMO.
