Yes, this is one of the coins attributed by some to Aureolus (RIC 388 [Postumus]), Commander of the Cavalry, who revolted against Gallienus and seized Milan. The theory goes that Aureolus struck coins at Milan in the name of the Gallic emperor Postumus in a bid for that usurper's support of his rebellion. Similarly, the VIRTVS EQVIT ("courage of the cavalry") reverse is seen as an appeal by Aureolus to the Equites ("cavalry") he had formerly commanded to now support Postumus. In the end, neither appeal succeeded. It's all very speculative but intriguing.
