BuyGuns Valued Member United States 335 Posts	Posted 08/29/2019 06:37 am Acquired this coin, on its way, but asking if anyone thinks a 291 year old coin, in ok shape (Reverse not too bad), carries a premium for the overdate? 1728 with an obvious '7' under/over it. Can't find another like it. Low mintage. About 90,000+ I think. Not a very high value on these, especially worn as it is. Hand hammered I think, and why these seem to have many variations. (Also, this is not a hammered coin, it is like all 18th century French coins made using a mechanical press.) Report this Post to the Staff
