I picked up this 1864 2 Cent piece at a show recently in Toronto. It has a 180 degree die rotation and a really nice die break from the rim all the way to the E in Cents on the Reverse. It also has this kind of oily black dirty film on it. My question is, do any of you think it's worth conserving? because the red lustre that is showing is really stellar and really pops. The impressions on both sides are very good and solid, in hand there is only some light rub on the highest points.
Sorry I couldn't properly orchestrate a sufficient picture showing the 180 degree rotation to show for this post. I'll try to get one up later.

Thanks all for looking.

On your US coins, if you flip them north to south all designs should be upright..flip east to west and one side would appear to be upside down....nice die crack..great coin..what was tha pick-up price, I you don't mind saying..

I picked this up for $40 CAN. This coin flips like a Canadian coin East West instead of the normal North South it's supposed to be. If this could be conserved it would easily be a MS-65 all day long.

Great pick-up, a top shelf coin at a bargain basement price!

I have the same rotated variety, but it only grades VF. Here's a close-up pic of the die break ...
