I bought a 2008 proof silver quarter set yesterday (without my loupe) and when I got home I looked at it with my loupe and , I can't believe how awful it is.
I also think I over paid for it , I paid $15.00 and traded two new capital plastic Morgan dollar holders and a like new LMC reference book that retails for $19.95.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John1

John1,
Proof Coins= Coins struck for collectors by the Mint using specially polished dies and planchets, most of the proof sets I've seen lately are very poor quality. Sorry to here you got an awful one! Apparently the mint no longer equals Quality.

Why did you spend about $40 for a set that can be purchased directly from the Mint for $25.95 plus S&H? It sounds like you bought some one's reject set that they didn't get around to returning...
