Poll Question
As collectors we like to share our hobby and the internet has been fantastic with this.

I have visited and enjoyed quite a few personal sites of CCF members and was wondering how many members utilize the web to share their collection and knowledge.

Poll Choices
 I have my own website
 I use CCF
I use an online photo cataloging site
A combination of or all of the above
I don't share my collection on the net
 Other?

I found CCF when I wanted to get serious about collecting. After that, there was no need to look further. Everything I need is here.

There are several possibilities.
For one you may not have your computer plugged in.
Or you may not have electricity in your area.
Or if you voted for something that is not liked, you may well be ignored.
Then too there is this voters registration card thing. Do you have one?
And most of all you must be a coin collector with approximately thirty million in coins.
In reality, I don't know.

Looks like CCF is coming out on top and it's no surprise. Bobby & Susan have done a fantastic job with the site as well as the moderators with the forums.

The fact that many folks use the free services offered here at CCF is a testament.

Still in the process of cataloging my collection.
Then maybe next step is photographs.

Will someone share with me why one would post their collection on the net for others to see, vs just photo cataloging them and keeping the photos for your own use.

It the purpose to post collections on the net for others to enjoy the variety and beauty or is it a game being played which I call "That's nothing" - in which players post to show "mine is bigger than yours"?

No sarcasm in this post
I would like to more than the owner of this thread, do you post and where.

I am interested in WHY collections are posted

In my opinion, taking pictures of my coins makes it easier for me to discuss any coin related topic which can be related to my collection such as varieties or different type of errors and so forth. A picture is worth 1000 words can be used to illustrate this point.
