When Did The "+" Rating Happen - Coin Community Forum

inconnu Valued Member Canada 93 Posts	Posted 09/03/2019 6:59 pm I've been out of the loop for a few years and I'm starting to dip my toe back into the pool. I've noticed quite a few coins graded as MS66+. Is this a MS66 and a half? What is the premium for the "+"? Has grading mintstate coins evolved to this exact of a science? I know that the Sheldon scale sucks for mintstate coins with only 10 points reserved, but this is bizarre. Report this Post to the Staff

basebal21 Bedrock of the Community 13014 Posts	Posted 09/04/2019 5:09 pm + grades have been around for many years now. PCGS has the added criteria that they have to have exceptional eye appeal as well. AI grading is not something anyone should want Report this Post to the Staff
