Hello all.
I'm going to Edinburgh for a couple of days and wondered if anyone could recommend where I might get a coin (and stamp) collection valued?
Am I likely to have to pay much for a valuation. There are several on google but they mainly seem to be general antiques.
What about somewhere like Christies?
Thanks.

'Phone the major numismatic auctioneers, and ask them for advice.
They occasionally send a representative to do a tour of the UK, for the purpose of inspecting possible collections that may come up for auction.
One or two preliminary pictures taken with your iPhone, and included in a text to a numismatic auctioneer may help.

Thanks for that. I will look up auctioneers, although we're in a bit of a backwater here, it was just that I happened to be going to Edinburgh and wondered if anyone had any personal experience.
